    Practical education, strategies and stories for those who care for someone living with dementia.
  • Reframing Dementia

    Reducing the stigma of dementia and helping care partners to build tools for purposeful engagement for someone living with brain changes.
  •  A Four-Part Series (2 1/2 hours each)-Session topics include:

    • Hope in the face of a scary diagnosis- Introduction to dementia and brain changes
    • Developing trust through communication (verbal/nonverbal)-The art of communicating through change.
    • Behaviors versus reactions-Tips on bringing the calm through response, rather than reacting
    • Activities of Daily Living- bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.- Finding the joy in this care-partnering.
    • Sleep patterns and purposeful living
    • End-stage dementia and end-of-life care

    Lunch & Learn (bring your lunch, we'll provide dessert)

    12-2:15 pm- July 22, 24, 31 & August 7

    Coffee Talk (finish your day with dessert & coffee or tea)

    5:45-8 pm- July 24, 31 & August 4 & 6
